Ever found yourself testing a WordPress project, and needing to create a lot of fake users? WordPress’s requirement that email addresses need to be unique can be really annoying. Mail Ceasar! is a very simply plugin that can be helpful in this, and other scenarios.
Mail Caesar! does just one thing: it takes the “to” address for all outgoing email, and replaces it with the site admin’s email address. This means that all email is sent to that address. Including things like signup confirmation emails. Everything addressed to “fakeuser@doesntexist.com” will be delivered to your email inbox. That’s it.
The plugin can also be used to troubleshoot email issues, since you’re able to check exactly what is being sent. It’s not intended for use on production websites, but may be helpful during development.
Mail Caesar! is available from the WordPress plugin repository.
